KaiB Posted December 18, 2011 Share Posted December 18, 2011 It's Sunday and I have nothing else to fret about. My car is halfway across the country - cage will go in soon. The builder is well known and his cages are in hundreds of cars...however, I'm sure he does more than the 4 maximum bends (as prescribed by NASA CCR) in these cars, as like the factory cages, there is a minor bend at the top of the main hoop to conform to the shape of the roof. JerryW Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 Kai - You should point your cage builder to the NASA CCR's and tell him to meet the requirements. (I'm willing to bet he probably is aware of them but may not have built many cages specifically for NASA). If you are going to run multiple sanctioning bodies (e.g. PCA, NASA) then also ensure he knows that. He should be able to build a cage that is legal for all the sanctioning bodies.
