stevepoe Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 This is just my thought since you are asking. Looks like a nice car but I think the only cars in american iron trim that are getting this kind of money are the 05 up mustangs. Take the car apart and sell everything seperate. You will recover the most money that way. Quote

I am not in a bind just thought i would see how it went. the car is basically new with the exception of the sheet metal which is in perfect shape. Best regards, Ryan Quote
Mystic_Cobra Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Constructive feedback here... Steve is right. You can buy a car that is just as fast, just as safe, but doesn't look as nice for $12000. The car looks fantastic and based on your data looks extremely well prepared. Do you have a dyno sheet show RWHP/RWTQ? Would be useful info to a prospective buyer. I'm assuming the numbers you quoted are flywheel. What about the weight? A 3200 lb AI car like this should be making about 350 & 375 at the wheels. GL with the sale! Quote
comguy2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I just went with the same motor package, haven't had it on track yet, I was wondering how you liked it? Also do you like the carb? I was thinking about contacting them to build me a carb? BTW I love your car. I have a 93 Cobra R that I just retired. Gotta love the Fox bodies. If you would consider a trade I have a 98 Griggs car that is good to go. Regards Quote

trackiscrack Posted June 3, 2012 Author Posted June 3, 2012 as for the carb, I think it is a good way to go. the car makes plenty of power and the throttle response is sick. Also, if you want to go play in a certain class, pick up a restrictor plate and a different pill for the MSD box and power down accordingly! it is simple especially when you get it right! Quote
[email protected] Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Hey I know you are looking to sell your car, but I wanted to see if you had some of the same issues I am having. I went with the same motor package, and you are right this motor is insane. My issues are with regards to the breathers, I am leaking oil like crazy with the stock breathers and around the valve cover bolts . I just had the car at the dyno and it leaked like crazy, we pulled both breathers off and ran it, with no issues or leaks. What are you running for a breather setup and have you had any issues? Again sorry I know you are looking to sell your car, by the way if I wasn't so far into this project I would grab your car right away. Looks like a great ride. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Quote
trackiscrack Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 On the breathers, get two separate catch cans. As for the alve covers, get cork gaskets and be done with it. Breathers are for show cars, catch cans are for go fast cars! Quote
