I ask because I heard the closest hotel is 45 minutes away and the on-site RV rental (which sounded nice enough) is all booked this weekend. When I was talking to the RV folks they also mentioned that there's no place for a campfire (fair enough with all the fuel containers) and there are no showers. While I'm no stranger to smelling like a gym sock wrapped in a jock strap, the idea of freezing my ass off all night and not being able to at least take a warm shower in the morning doesn't sound appealing. DAMotorsports Posted January 21, 2012 Share Posted January 21, 2012 As far as Hotels you can also look in the Indio area as the track is about the same distance to Indio at it is in Blythe. if i can get some time ill put a list up of the one i would stay at, as i know the crime rate in the area. I WOuld stay away from anything on Indio Blvd!!!!!!!!!! there is Fantisy Springs casino, a motel 6 and a comfort suite on Varner road. Camping at the track, the last time i was there they did not have any hookups everything is self contained. they do have a dump and water station available along with gas pumps. i know of a dinner near the 10 freeway that has mixed reviews. I have always had a blast camping at the track and if the socal HC guys show up like we have talked about it will be off the hook!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys rock and Ill attempt to make it to Fontana even if its just to spectate because my hot rod took a beating this weekend but at least I didnt get lapped .
