eastcoastbumps Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 My brother and I are selling a really nice RX8 shell that we planned on building. The cage builder copied the Speedsource team design from when they were running a Mazda chassis (they now run a tube frame) and did a very nice job on it. The chassis has also been seam welded and repainted OEM silver on the interior and cage. Rare non-sunroof chassis. OEM seat mounts were cut out and plates welded in. Included is the entire rear subframe, differential and rear suspension less shocks and springs. Also installed is the full chassis wiring harness, one tail light, dash with gauge cluster, steering column with stalks, gas tank with Speedsource baffle and pump, pedals, brake lines/master/booster/ABS pump, clutch master and lines, wiper motor and linkage with cowl cover. We also have a custom dolly for moving the car around on that will be included in the sale. It should be cheap enough to put together considering the low cost of complete running RX8's. No hood, front bumper, headlights or front suspension/subframe. One dent on the bottom of the drivers door and rocker and another on top of the drivers front fender. Otherwise a clean and damage free shell. What you see is what you get. Asking $3000 as it sits. Email is the best point of contact. pete.mcparland at gmail.com Quote

TurboShortBus Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Mark in a car that turns?!? No wai! Please buy it and remove the temptation for me - kthnksbye I'm thinking that it would be a bitchin' V8 swap car. Of course, starting a project like that will ensure that I won't be on a track with it anytime soon... Mark Quote
kbrew8991 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I was going to keep it rotary and aim at TTD/PTD, esp after seeing what kinds of times a 2010 R3 is capable of 100% stock - less custom parts and other crap to go T.U. on you that way as well. Quote
TurboShortBus Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I was thinking that mild Ford 302 would still keep it in PTD/TTD and be plenty of fun. I have access to piles of cheap SBF parts. Mark Quote
