LJ32 Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 So I sat down and read the rules over fire systems. I was wanting to get a handheld one. The rules state its ok to have a handheld extinguisher as long as your class allows it. I can’t find anything on handhelds in ST class. Anyone? Also minimum weight, the way I understand it is that there is a minimum weight for safety. I can’t find the minimum weight for an AP1 s2000 for ST class. Is there one? Thanks LJ Quote
slink Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 ST classes are a weight-to-horse power to tire size class. so there is no minimum weight for your s2000. fire bottle? i have both a fire system for a bigger fire issue. and a hand held for a small issue. this way the hand held wont make as big of a mess as the fire system. LJ32 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Cool, also what is everyone using in there radiators as a water additive to keep parts from rusting? water wetter? I know some of my hose fittings are steel, maybe stainless im not sure. Is this an issue? Quote
slink Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 water wetter, purple ice, joe gibbs, really i believe that this are all close to the same and do thye same, i was also told that these break down, so any time you service the cooling system, just add a new bottle. Quote
Balroks Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Deff want an on board fire system, as a handheld won't cover nearly what a built in system would, especially if your knocked out and relying on a corner worker. Ya everybody uses one of the additives with straight water. Quote
