C6 CORVETTE Z51 track tire/wheel suggestions.

Looking to buy track tire/wheels for my vette. I run in HPDE 3 NE region. I want to use my stock set for reg. driving or wet track conditions and have a set dedicated for track only. Hoping for suggestions on this topic as I've done some research and I'm confused as to what sizes (other than stock) will work with my car. Open to buying used to stay within a budget. Also not sure if I should go with a pure racing slick or R compound DOT tire. Any suggestions on this topic would be greatly apprecitated. Thanks.
