ThePerfectLine Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 With much reluctance I am selling my 1990 Celica race car. This is a very clean, very straight, chassis with just about everything a race car needs, minus the motor and transmission. Its in really good shape and is ready for someone to drop in a 5s-fe, 3s-gte, or 3s-ge motor! The story I was told when I bought it is that this is an ex Long Beach Grand Prix Celebrity / Pro Am race car. It was (at some point) painted a pretty wicked orange color and had a stock 3s-gte in it. Now its a fully built car, EXCEPT for a motor and a transmission. Here is a list of its features / mods / awesomeness; *Pink Slip in hand! *VERY straight body, only minor dings and scratches (nicest body on a race car I've ever owned!) *Steering rack in car and no play *Brake master cylinder and booster already in car *Power steering reservoir pre-mounted in car *Setup to accept light bar in front of car for rallying *Nicely constructed and well built / welded cage (these cars were originally setup by TRD, so this cage was built by them). *Rear strut tower support welded in *Front strut bar (steel) *Simpson Window net installed and setup properly *Sparco Steering wheel with adapter *Electrical cutoff switch mounting plate welded to cage with cutoff switch installed *Completely stripped interior, all wires cleaned up, no insulation, no carpeting, etc. *All engine / transmision support braces included with car *FUEL SAFE brand Fuel Cell *Steel Braided teflon fuel line running from fuel cel area into engine bay *Walbro 255 inline fuel pump *Working door / trunk / and steering column lock with extra keys *Autolite battery with plastic battery box *All glass in car! Driver/Passenger door with glass smoothly working and operational hand cranks! *Carbon Fibre hood with hood pins (This thing weighs very little, I havent weighed it, but it MUST be around 3-5 pounds tops!) *TRD Coilover suspension (4 corners) *Front monoball Camber Plates *TRD Adjustable Sway bars Front and Rear *Custom fabricated adjustable and reinforced rear camber / toe setup (whoever did this did a GOOD job, its completely adjustable now!) *G Racing 6 spoke wheels (look similar to SSR Comps) in 17 x7.5 (this can can run 225's, 235's!) *OIL and TRANSMISSION coolers (can be removed if desired) *285mm Wilwood 4 piston caliper Big Brake Kit W/2 Piece front rotors (with barely any useage on the rotors) *Complete dash / gauge setup with only 8392 on the odometer! *Extra parts, interior, new gaskets, *5 point Simpson camlock harnesses Now here is the not as awesome; *Crack in windshield (could be ran as is, but really should be replaced, my local glass guy wants $100 for a new one) *It could use a good cleaning, some elbow grease, and running the brakes a few times to shin up the rotors, this would do wonders for its 'curb appeal' *Right front fender has about a 3" x 6" ripple to it. The rest of car has small dings and scratches, but generally its very straight (look at the side pics to see how few dings there are on the doors) *It needs an engine and a Transmission. Obviously a local buyer is always ideal, so that you can come check it out and then just trailer it away, but am willing to work with whoever buys it to get it transported to you (because the windows roll up, and the doors lock it wouldn't be a big deal deliver it on an open trailer, whereas if it had no windows that could turn messy in the winter time) To view more pics of about everything go here http://claspics.com/ucxd5im/gz98xola/ [sorry about the pictures, I took them all in the garage at night. The car is actually very orange, with a fade to gold and then to blue in the front. The pics make it look like the car is gold to orange fade on the whole body, its not, its the bright orange, similar to the orange on a Lotus] You can Text or call me at 323-696-17two2, or email: rodg_mahal at yah00 dot com Or just PM me! As it turns out the first owner (besides Danny McGeever) just bought it! He is the guy who painted it, added the wilwoods, and raced it for a few years. He's pretty stoked to have it back in his possession.. The story is that the last owner spent about a million and a half hours getting it titled so he could drive it on the street. Seems like a waste of time to me, but hey, now it has a pink! Quote
