Planning ahead

I know it's only mid-May, but the August crossover race will be here before you know it, and if I'm making the trip down from Seattle, I need to know a few things. The most pressing is, is there anyone planning on running H5 at this event? If not, I need to find 105 lbs to remove so I can run H4.

I think I would have to agree with them.. get rid of the weight ..

I think so cal has 1 H5 car(and no garentee he is coming up), but there will be 14+ H4 cars...

Problem is, even at 2175, my H5 car won't be compeditive in H4 power-wise. For example, my same chassis ('94 Civic DX) in the H4 Si trim is only 130 lbs heavier and has 20+ horsepower on me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not whining and I'm pretty sure I can drop the weight. I'm just looking for a RACE, I don't want to drive all the way there to be a "also-ran". I guess I better start printing up the Underdog t-shirts now.

For Sears, I think the lighter weight will prevail.

I agree, very few straights. 2 Big braking zones. The bigger cars never get a chance to stretch their legs. I am always amazed at how much time you spend cornering there. great track, and a great equalizer.

1) ICSCC RACE LICENSE

2) DRIVERS LICENSE

3) LOG BOOK

4) CASH

5) LEGALLY PREPPED RACE CAR

6) TECH INSPECTION? DOESN'T NASA REQUIRE CERTAIN SHOPS TO DO THIS. WILL WE HAVE TO FOR ONE RACE? WILL THERE BE SOME ONE AT THE TRACK TO DO THIS?

Mike, so far there's 5 cars (4 H4 and 1 H1). Will NASA accept the ICSCC annual tech? Not a big deal if we roll through your local tech really, just asking for efficiency reasons.

Top secret development & testing is underway. As we speak, the car is currently being transported Northbound on I-5 somewhere between Olympia and Tacoma. More testing is set for this weekend. All we can say for now, is OMG!

CRX-Schmitty and I are planning to be there. That's another H4 and H1, respecttively. I'm more of a wild card than Schmitt... Crazy schedule on eitrher side of the crossover. I really want to do it, though. 'Cause, you know... its Sears!

Also: We actually got the fright-pig H1 car to the track yesterday. Still slower than i should be (driver!) but i did beat the other H1 car for the class win. A shallow victory, perhaps, but sex is still better when you win.

After some discussions this weekend, we might have two more Canadian cars, and two more Seattle area racers making the trip.
