Sphinx
I have an 1997 M3 which is only used for doing HPDE event. The car is registered and has plates but based on the modifications Geico will not cover it. Any alternatives?

kbrew8991
are you trying to cover anything that might happen to it on track, or just while stored/transported/in-the-paddock (ie STP)? The first can be pricey, the second one isn't bad at all though.

Boris3
+1 for Lockton. Since you have the M3 they also have a BMWCCA discount program. Look into the multi-event packages for further discounts. http://bmwhpdeins.locktonaffinity.com/

ReaperX
I have used this one since lockton doesn't cover de4 in most case. http://www.ontrackinsurance.com/index.aspx
427R
Look into OnTrackInsurance.com. I just hooked up with them for my events this year. They're underwritten by Great American Insurance Group, that covers 50 states and DC. You get discounts for setting up 3 or more event coverages.
