velocitymotorsports Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Hello everyone. So i have a very general question to all that have built spec-z recently. Has anyone had any weird wiring problems with the can lines? Such as no start problems and dash not lighting up. Thanks in advance. Quote
laze1 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 nope... did you blow a fuse on the Power Distribution Center? or remove fuses from it? Quote
Japelle Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 The only issue I had with the dash not lighting up was when I removed the little white box for the A/C controls. This is located behind the A/C switches and radio on the dash. Not sure if this helps. Quote
velocitymotorsports Posted August 17, 2012 Author Posted August 17, 2012 Thanks for the posts. We have found that there is no power and ground signal to the bcm. Fuses check ok and ipdm checks out. Ill keep you guys what we find. Thanks. Quote
Fixxxercask Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I had the same issue. I had to keep that white box in the car. It somehow powers the dash amongst other things. I think I lost tach signal, fuel gauge and something. I didn't feel like trying to re-wire everything so stuck it back under the dash with everything plugged in. Quote
dmdirks Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Issue resolved. On the '03 model (only), both the BCM and the small white fuse box adjacent to it have an identical 8-pin connector. Sort of unusual considering just about every connector on the harnesses of the car is unique. Regardless, they had been swapped... Quote
