AI guys short changed w supersize at nats?

I understand schedules etc but you had 4 of us running st2 and ai or AIX and you run them in the same group?? Really

And AI and St2 appear to be feature races so why run together?

Just venting but it is disappointing.

 

Oh well next year may just pick one again and no supersize

 

Will miss running with my AI brothers (and sister) this year. Will enjoy watching from front of st2 I hope.

its just a guess, but i think nasa national wants to encourage american iron cars(pony cars) to stay away from st2. they are supposed to be two seperate cultures and mustangs poaching the nationals and winning(didnt dean win last year or almost?) probably doesnt make them happy.

 

if AI based cars want to double dip at the nationals, i think for marketing reasons, they would prefer if they enjoyed the extra seat time but stayed off the podium.

 

i know. i am synical. but....

I will definitely be staying off of the podium. I'm going for the "Nationals experience" and want all the seat time I can get along with all of the "hangin out" time.

 

It seems like the S197 is having a hard time finding a home.

its my view that nasa is working very hard to find a way to make the S197 fit into AI without at the same time upsetting all the other previously successful models. the boss 302 is an ST2 car in fact. that said, if you pay attention you can see that nasa sees st2 as a corvette based class and ai a mustang/camaro based class.

 

encouraging mustangs to race in the corvette class, some might say, lowers the rent in ST2.
