Grizlbits Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Friday qualifying race 1. Yes I know it looks like track touring. Lap 6 I get to the AI traffic. 2. Yes I know it is not 1970 as the camera shows. It was a new replacement camera from the AIM guys and it had not updated yet. 3. Yes I know the the G meter is 90 degrees off. I moved it while I was working on the car (which Mick Remen and Elliot Fisher don't know how to do) 4. Yes I know the car has more left. Used tires and no reason to push in a qualifying race. I was saving my good tires for a track record on Saturday; but we all know how that turned out. 5. For all you AI guys, last lap makes Dean Martin look slow. This may make you feel slightly better. Maybe it won't. I tried. 6. Yes it would have been a much more exciting race if Paul Faessler would come out and play. Our cars should be very close. I guess we wait until next year. Enjoy. Quote
Micks 41 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Just cause MY car doesn't break (knocking on wood) between sessions doesn't mean I don't know how to work on it. Besides, how many trips did Steve make to the auto parts store and how many of those alternators did you use? Quote
Grizlbits Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Just cause MY car doesn't break (knocking on wood) between sessions doesn't mean I don't know how to work on it. Besides, how many trips did Steve make to the auto parts store and how many of those alternators did you use? You're right about your car not breaking. You looking for a "metric" crescent wrench tells us you don't work on your car. 1 trip, used zero. He bought the same alternator I already had that didn't work. My MaD sKillZ adapted the one I had into a spare. Quote
thonczarenko Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Insane how fast the AI cars are reeled in. Good stuff! I laughed when I got the Ford Racing email congratulating Chris on his win, but said Clark Griswold. National Lampoons anybody? Sportsman Spotlight Martin, Golinello, Ferraro and Griswold Win at NASA Nationals Last weekend's NASA National Championships at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course saw four Mustang drivers earn the title "National Champion." Multiple-time champ Dean Martin defended his title in American Iron; Richard Golinello was victorious in STR2; Clark Griswold won in American Iron Extreme; and Chris Ferraro was named champ in the Camaro-Mustang Challenge class. Several more Ford drivers saw podiums as well, including Erik Sjoblom, Chris DeSalvo, Bruce Byerly and more! Congratulations to all! Quote
