VanFab Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Name: Jacob Van Norman Location: Coon Rapids, MN Phone: five oh seven 3 2 3 two one two one (best way to contact me is a text!) If you're looking for a nice street car, this is not it. This beauty has 127k miles of rage on it. I bought the car three years ago with a mind to part it out because it had an unresolved engine issue. Turned out it was just a bad spark plug and a really bad exhaust leak, so I ended up driving it. Now, I don't have the passion to either make it into something or part it out, so it's time to move on. Parts list Chassis Autopower 4-point roll bar MM full length subframe connectors MM strut tower brace Kenny Brown lower K-member brace Evolution Motorsport radiator enclosure 'V' brace Front suspension MM forward offset control arms with Delrin bushings MM caster-camber plates MM coilovers on Bilstein struts Rear suspension MM lower control arms with spring perch MM torque arm MM weld-in PH bar H&R Super Race springs KYB AGX adjustable shocks Steering MM steering shaft MM aluminum rack bushings Steeda bumpsteer kit Brakes Cobra all around Braided lines Power Steeda underdrive pulley Accufab intake plenum/throttle body Magnaflow catted X-pipe Magnaflow cat-back Custom tune Drivetrain Torsen diff 3.73 gears Aesthetic 2001+ smoked headlights Mach I grille delete BULLITT shifter Rear wing removed (I think I have it somewhere) Stubby antenna Wheels 5Zigen FN01R-C, 17x10 The bad * The chassis is tweaked - we can arrange a time to talk and I'll try to explain what I mean. Front jacking points are collapsed. Maybe the chassis will survive longterm, maybe not, but I think a full cage would be a good idea * Number 7 cylinder eats a small amount of coolant during Minnesota winter * Both rear wheel arches have met my roommates' cars on occasion, and there is a spot of rust that is through the body * Parking brake needs to be reset and cables connected * Clutch is still the original, so I'm including a spare. It will chirp the tires in second, so it doesn't seem to be slipping, but engagement is at the top of the pedal * No seat buckles - only way to strap in is the harnesses * CDs play only out of right side speakers * Needs an alignment The good * I've put 15k street miles on this car in the last year and it's never left me stranded * Gets 23mpg if you drive it like a granny * Handles pretty nice * Just replaced rear calipers * A/C works * I'm the 2nd owner, and I can try to get any info you want from the original owner Spares Used King Cobra clutch Carbotech brake pads Bunch of springs for the coilovers Front control arms with adjustable spring perch Front KYB AGX struts Various conventional springs Pair of used 265 Dunlop street tires Probably some other stuff I would keep driving this thing if I could make the time to fix it up - would be a fun winter car, autoX, rallyX beater. Or turn it into an all-out track car. But I have too many other things going on and can't make it that kind of priority. $4000 Quote
