Track Day Prelude for Sale

Here are the basics... '94 VTEC, 138k miles on original H22A motor, I/H/E but no internal mods to the motor, upgraded brakes (NSX), suspension (koni/Eibach), roll bar, Toyo RA1 on Kosei K1s, etc. There is rust on both rear fenders that I prepped to fill with putty, but haven't actually done it yet.

Here is a photo from a year ago at the track (the silver drier duct tubing are brake ducts which do a fantastic job of keeping them cool on the track):

So there is no confusion, I think this car is perfect for one particular niche, as any other purpose would require some work/money. That niche is somebody who is doing HPDE type events, and wants to get a more track dedicated car to use, as opposed to a daily driver. That is kind of how I've been using it all year, since my race car was in the shop, and I didn't want to stop doing track events. I ran it for four track weekends this year without any problems, despite the age and mileage. At the moment it's in the shop getting a new axle and new (Hawk) front brake pads. So whoever buys it will be able to take it directly to the track without any work at all.

If I didn't already have a race car, I would pull out the entire leather interior and sell it on ebay, pull the a/c and radio (6 CD changer and amp), and throw in a racing seat. It's competent as it is right now, but if you could take out another 150lbs or so out of it it would really get competitive with the cars in the faster run groups.

Could it be used as a daily driver? Sure, and I did for many years, but the car no longer really screams "professional" since the paint is completely shot, and it's loud. It also could be turned into a race car, but to do that would mean stiffer springs, converting the roll bar into a roll cage, and switching to a non-street legal exhaust. But for somebody who doesn't have a trailer and wants a track car that they can use on the street, it doesn't need anything.

It also comes with many spare parts, including 4 wheels, an H22A head with cams, stock brakes, stock suspension, two drag racing tires (not mounted), etc.

I'm hoping to get $4k, and with all the spares included I think it's worth it, but I'll listen to other offers. Please either send me a PM here, or email me at [email protected] if you are interested.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I don't check this board all that regularly during the "off season"!

It has a roll BAR, not a cage, and I'm in PA.
