AutobahnRacer Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I have owned this car for about 7-years, and bought it as a bone-stock street car. I have been a part of the process from day 1, as it has become a 'BEAST' of a Race Car, enjoyed due to it's reliability and great care. I have taken the car to many tracks, including Autobahn Country Club, Road America, VIR, and Putnam Park. I have used 2-very professional, and well respected shops to build and support the car. Only the best support has been used, and no expense spared as shown in the build details. The car is FAST, and has all the 'go fast' components to keep it under control. The interior is caged, using a fire-suppression system in-car and engine bay. There is a passenger seat, but you may choose to remove it for weight savings (car weighs in at 3,016 lbs.). The front clip (nose), splitter and under-tray is all carbon fiber, along with the rear wing. I bought Fikse wheels (in Anthracite), currently with Pirelli slicks (World Challenge Tires), Brembo Brakes (Calipers and Rotors) and Hawk Pads using stainless steel brake lines. There are both Trans and Diff coolers, both for Rockland Gear mechanics. The Gearbox is a DOG BOX, requiring a clutch 'only' for 1st Gear. All close ratio for putting down the best power. The final drive is also Rockland Gear, their best/hardest compound in a 3.9:1. The Engine is NEW, with less than a couple of hours on it. Those hours have been very good, mostly at Road America for a HPDE earlier this year. The Dry Sump is NEW. 1999 Corvette FRC Race Car Options in NASA ST1 or ST2, SCCA STO or SPO Motor: Built by Goodwin Competition (Omro, WI) - approx. 600HP at Crank LS2 Block, Katech Original Build/Blueprinted Super Duty Competition Intake Valve LS LSXR FAST Intake Manifold Ultra Dual Valve Springs Competition Valves LS2 Pistons LS2 Head Gaskets Custom Ring Set Callies LS2 Connecting Rods Callies LS2 Crankshaft Clevite H-Series Tri-Armor Coated Bearings Comp Cams severe duty Racing Hydraulic Roller/Lifter Kit 11:1 Compression (run on 93 Octane Pump) Fall-line cage (painted Pewter Metallic to match exterior factory color) LG GT2 Adjustable Rear Wing w/Wicker mounted to frame (with pinned/removable rear deck) Black Dog CF Front Splitter/Facia (painted Pewter Metallic) Black Dog CF Vented Undertray (.53” thickness) Moton Club-Sport 2-way Adjustables (rebuilt last season with quick release) Hyper Coil 7” Tall X 2.25” 700lb and 800lb Pfadt Competition Sway Bars (Aluminum) Front and Rear (C6Z06) Dry sump (new last season) ARE Brand (Pump, Pan, Tank and Plumbing) 2-stage scavenge Trans and Diff coolers Custom Oversized Oil Cooler Fikse Profil 18”X11” and 18” X 12” Wheels (4/each) Brembo Rotors – 48 Vane, 355 X 32 X 53.5 “Brembo Big Brake Kit” Brembo Calipers (red) 4-piston Rockland Gear Dog Box (clutchless after 1st gear) Close Ratio Rockland Gear Diff 3.90 Gear w/Hardened Output Shafts Cool suit (with manual air control for helmet blower) Ultimate Pedal Set Ripper Shifter Front and Rear Solid Tow Hooks Window and Center Net System Twin Disc Clutch C5 Wheel Studs Radio wired Traqmate Wired Fire Suppression System using Safecraft 5lb Extinguisher MOMO 37mm Dished Anatomic Grip (Black) Steering Wheel with Quick Disconnect Hub Sparco Pro 2000 Seat with Sliders (driver and passenger) HANS 6-point Belt System CF Drive Shaft with BDR Billet Drive-Shaft Donuts Billy Boat Exhaust Mini-tub on rear end Vented Brakes up front Stainless Steel brake lines SKF Wheel Bearings New GM Steering Rack (last season) Battery relocated to trunk I just spent $ 12,000 on the motor build, installed in April 2012. I am firm on the sale at $ 55,000, which is less than 1/2 the cost of the build. I have receipts on EVERYTHING.
