History

· Originally purchased to be raced in SCCA T3 class, never street driven.

· Reworked in 2009 to be raced in SCCA EP class, and later PTD/C/B depending on ballast.

· NASA and SCCA logbook

· Legal in SCCA EP, and NASA PT, possibly SCCA STU class with a few minor changes

· 2150lbs without driver

· Entered 2012 NASA championship in PTD with a best lap of 1:39.6 in warm up, the motor unfortunately lost power on lap 2 of the race. The only bad news is the engine runs but will require rebuilding or replacement.

Speedsource tubular front anti roll bar (OEM front bar included) OEM rear bar

 

Wheels

· 2 sets Enkei RPF-1 17x8 +35 offset front, 17x8 +45 offset rear

· 20mm hub centric wheel spacers on all 4 corners

 

Brakes

· Custom 2 piece aluminum hats with vented rotors

· Carbotech brake pads XP16 front, XP12 rear. The fronts were new before the NASA championship

· Stainless brake lines

Engine Cooling

· 3 inch core custom radiator by Four Seasons

Fuel Delivery

· ATL 12 gallon fuel cell with integrated high pressure pump and pickup.

· The cell is installed in passenger seat area and was new in 2012. NASA and SCCA legal.

 

Driver Safety

· Custom roll cage by KC Raceware
Kirkey intermediate road race seat with cover

· FIA rated belts expire in 2016

· Safety Solutions right side net

· Window net

· On board fire suppression system

· MOMO steering wheel with quick release hub

I had the opportunity to race this car at various regional events and Nationals. Its a solid, fantastic handling and braking chassis. You'd be hard-pressed to find a lighter RX8 - the extensive weight savings gives numerous ballast weight options.

 

During Sunday warmup at Nationals this car in PTD trim turned the fastest time of the weekend competing against factory supported Honda and Mazda competition.
