WTB: Wheels, tires?, for S197

AI crew,

A friend of mine recently got a hit of the go-fast-crack-pipe during his first HPDE1 at VIR. He had a blast and wants to do more. He is looking for a set of track wheels for his 2006 Mustang GT.

He'd like to get a wheel that can fit some standard AI tires down the road, so that as he gets into HPDE 3+ he can fit AI takeoffs/etc. Are we correct that 18x9.5 is a fairly standard wheel size for AI? If so, do you know if these fit a stock Mustang (or do they require coilovers, rolled fenders, etc)?

Finally, if they will fit, we're looking for a set of inexpensive used wheels. They don't need to be pretty but they do need to be straight . We are in the Mid Atlantic area. Please let me know if you have any leads.

Thanks all,

Peter D

Look for a set of original shelby (GT500) wheel ('07+) they fit over the brakes and do not need any fender work 18x9.5 probably the cheapest route.

Call Rehagen Racing 734-895-1543 they are very good at finding what you may need, new or used. Keep their # handy for all your S197 needs.
