z28cdoyle Posted June 20, 2005 Share Posted June 20, 2005 I run a Camaro in HPDE and have been using Toyo RA1 tires for many years. I bought a set of new tires in late summer 2004 and more a few weeks ago. I noticed that the tread wear rating marked on the side wall is now 100. It used to be 40. I am also wearing the outside edge of these tires much more than in the past. I have had to add a lot more static camber to protect the outside edge of the tires. Is anyone else noticing the same issue? Did Toyo increase the hardness of the rubber? Did they soften the sidewall? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
