meridianracing Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) Ok so I am going to put this out there before I tear apart the M3. I have a fully street legal totally stock 2001 6 speed manual, Silver with black leather M3 (100K miles) and a fully track prepped 99 Miata with one of the best cage builds you will find. Can't have two race cars and the M3 is really nice and I am having a hard time doing the tear down. Miata info: TTE legal Miata for sale (I think it could be an SCCA IT car if you swap the flywheel to stock (included)) Overview Some info from previous owner: car was a daily driver / autocross car in SCCA CSP autocross class. It was extremely competitive and — had I been motivated enough to go to all points events — could have trophied at the regional level or possibly higher for the season. I autocrossed the car from 2006 through 2009 before starting to track it. It has since done about six HPDE events. The car has an Emerald Green Mica body, silver hardtop, and white interior. The previous owner put in a new motor at 100k miles (body now has 140k miles). The car will come with Rota Circuit-8 15″ wheels with fairly used Dunlop Z1 Star Spec tires in 205/50-15. On the CMP scales it weighs 2223 with half a tank of gas and no driver. The car drives and handles great. The car is very predictable and inspires confidence when driving. The transmission shifts well and the engine pulls as well as you would expect a Miata to do. Additionally, the check engine light is still present and functions, but is not lit. Body has some dings but way less than my last spec miata Modifications: Suspension / Brakes: Tein SS 1-way adjustable coil overs (put on by the previous owner — owner #2) Super Poly polyurethane bushings at all 22 points in the A-Arms Racing Beat front sway bar, no rear bar on the car (stock rear bar included with purchase) Carbotech XP10 and XP8 brake pads in the front and rear (respectively) Stock power steering still connected Engine / Exhaust: Lightweight flywheel (not sure of weight / brand, put on by owner #2) Monsterflow cold air intake. Stock intake included with sale. Racing Beat 4-to-1 exhaust header. Stock included with sale. Roadster Sport cat-back exhaust with high flow cat mid-pipe Factory limited slip differential Air conditioning removed, heater core still in place and connected for defog in rainy conditions Koyo 54mm radiator Safety Equipment: Custom cage done by Dan Tiley of Ti Speed Engineering - Triple NASCAR style door bars on each side - Petty bar which bolts in or can be removed to allow for a passenger seat - More head and elbow room around driver than in any other Miata I’ve sat in - One of best cage builds I have seen in a Miata Full containment aluminum driver seat by Innovative Safety Products or a Spec Miata seat (Ultra Shield) Safety Solutions 6-point harness for driver (SFI dated Aug 2010) G-Force window net SPA 4L SPA-MFE400A Fire system (Needs to be recertified 7/1/12) Longacre master cutoff switch Ultrashield Rally Sport 17” aluminum passenger seat (removable to install petty bar) G-Force 6 point clip-in harness on passenger side (SFI dated Nov 2008) Quick disconnect steering wheel Wink 5 panel rear view mirror Interior / Exterior: Removable Lexan windows for use while transporting on an open trailer or overnight paddock parking. Tow eyes installed front and rear Mesh steel grill insert to protect radiator Fire system activation, cutoff switch, and tow eye location exterior decals Hardwired power and on/off button for a GoPro HD video camera GoPro HD back cover modified to work with the harness in the car GoPro roll bar mount Looking to trade both for ready to go track prepped car, M3, Vette or similar, or diesel truck will add cash if needed. Let me know if you are interested (PM me), only going to have this out there for a short time. Edited February 15, 2013 by Guest Quote
