This is the OFFICIAL list of drivers and cars who have registered for the Time Trial classes for the upcoming event at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 23-24, 2013. Regardless of which class you selected when you registered online, this thread shall serve as the OFFICIAL list (based on corrected classification forms, car swaps, class changes for contingency, late/missing classification forms, driver requests, etc.). If you haven't yet, be sure to register soon to avoid late registration fees.

Please note that I need to receive your 2013 TT classification forms no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in order for you to be placed in your proper class. Otherwise, you will be classed in TTU.

Drivers listed in red below need to submit TT classification forms, etc. by the deadline, or else they will be classed in TTU for the event. These drivers have registered for a class other than TTU.

Also, I would like to thank our TT awards sponsors, MAD Motorsports! Thank you for your support!

I'm not sure where everybody is. Cancel your spring break Carnival cruises while you can, since the boat is only going to break down and leave you stranded.

This list will be updated regularly as drivers register and as tire shenanigans take place. But, at 5:00 pm on March 20, it's "pencils down" for changing classes.

See you soon!

Mark

I won't have the new TTD car until Sebring in June.

What happen to everyone? Mark, looks like you need to work on drawing in some new blood.

I might be coming but not bringing a car, just coming to instruct.

Note that, due to the low TT registration, the group will be combined with HPDE-4 for all sessions at this event. Expect more of the same for future events if the numbers are equally low.

I have pimped the group and the club pretty well over the past few years, so I don't think it's for a lack of effort. And "lowering the bar" just to get more cars into TT (at the expense of driver experience) isn't likely an option. But, if somebody else can do it better...

Revised schedule coming soon. Expect an extra 20min of track time for everyone each day.

If we all move up to TTU, maybe Mark could win tires for his mystery car . There'd be second place contingency too!

Everybody would have to move up into TT2, as Danny is the only TT car this weekend that is on Hoosiers.

"Solution Mark" just sent the following e-mail to the registered TT drivers.

TT drivers,

As you may already know, the TT group (5 drivers) is being combined with the HPDE-4 group (29 drivers) this weekend as a result of relatively low TT entries while trying to maximize track time for all participants.

Currently, the plan is for me to be both the TT Director and the HPDE-4 group leader for this weekend, unless objections are raised between now and Saturday.

For this weekend only, please note the following:

1. TT cars will run all sessions with their headlights and taillights on in order to distinguish them from the HPDE-4 cars. This way, HPDE-4 drivers can tell if a TT car is overtaking them (or if they are about to overtake a TT car) and can then choose to use consideration/discretion if the pass might affect the TT car's lap time. If your headlights/taillights are not functional, then try to get 1 of each to work. Note that wiring your brake lights to the "always on" position is not acceptable, as the brake lights shall function independently of the taillights.

2. In grid, there will be one line for TT and one line for HPDE-4 (as is done with HPDE-1 and HPDE-2), with TT being dispatched first. As there are 5 of you, please self-grid yourselves from quickest to slowest (the grid staff will not have a printed grid sheet).

3. As always, the "out lap" will be under yellow (no passing until reaching the green flag), with the lead TT car serving as the pace car. The pace car shall maintain a speed of approximately 60 mph until the exit of turn 8, at which point the pace car will proceed to TT speed.

4. The current plan is for all TT and HPDE-4 cars to report to the usual impound area (just around the corner from grid) after each session for a brief, typical download session. The thought is that we will present the TT environment and process to the HPDE-4 drivers, with the hopes of convincing some of them to move up into our competitive group instead of languishing in a DE group.

With your help, I think that we can turn this less-than-optimal situation into something positive and successful, especially if we are able to recruit new TT drivers. With more TT drivers comes the return of dedicated TT sessions at the next event.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation; I'm looking forward to seeing everybody on Saturday. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Mark
