Race car storage near Sonoma or Thunderhill?

Recommended Posts

rstoddard

Hello,

I have recently moved from Canada to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Problem is that there are no road race tracks on the island.

I have my race car listed for sale (http://www.racingjunk.com/GT/2643414/Audi-Race-car.html) but if it does not sell soon I will need to move it to the US and close to a track were I can at least arrive and drive the car. It needs to happen soon as I am in the process of selling the house in Canada and will not have a place for the car for very much longer.

So, having not raced on either track (Sonoma or Thunderhill); does anyone have any recommendations as to what track to move the car close to and even better if there are companies near those tracks that can maintain and store a race car?

I am asking about these tracks as I figure it would be easiest to fly to NorCal from HI.

Thanks in advance!

Robin

I haven't used the following companies and don't know what the cost would be, but figured I should mention them - Jim

I believe that Evil Genius Racing can provide trackside support, but I’m not sure about car storage/transport or the cost. http://evilgeniusracing.com/tracksupport.html

It looks like Lifes Good Racing also provides support at http://lifesgoodracing.com/FlyerLGR.pdf in the http://www.lifesgoodracing.com website.

In the Nasa Norcal forum, there was the following posting early in 2012, so not sure what the current status is.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this.

I did find a place to store the car at Thunderhill and it's on it's way there now.

Cheers

Robin
