AMB Blind ApexIT Displaysupported ??? What tracks?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I was thinking about buying a used Blind Apex IT display for TT and also possibly to use in AI during practice and qualifying (if I ever make it haha). Does anyone know if the "radio transmitter" that needs be to used by the track to transmit to the BLindApex display is a fairly common thing? I've never asked or really heard.

Or is it a deal where some tracks use it and some don't? It sounds like a handy tool to have (I don't have any other lap timers etc. in car) but if the radio transmitting system is not common it's not worth the trouble.

Tracks in question would be:

Memphis MIR

St Louis Gateway

Putnam Park

Autobahn

Gingerman

Mid Ohio

Road Atlanta

Guessing MO and RA would use it for sure given nature of the track.

BUt still - are there tracks that don't utilize this feature?

Arroyo Seco Raceway in NM...since it does not use AMB.

Ok thanks for the heads up.

Pretty sure I don't have to worry about that track . . . .

ask your region - it's not a hugely popular product so they may have to remind their T&S people to setup the transmitter.

getfast

^ this. It is provided by the region and plugged in with the timing equipment, not necessarily handled automatically by the track (all they usually do is provide the cables to the timing loop)
