TT @ TWS in Sept

Recommended Posts

PoBoyR6

This may be too early but I haven't been on track since April so Sept can't come soon enough!

What are the prelim entry lists looking like Ken B?

Who else is planning on making it?

Hopefully we have our usual large turnout for TWS.

Jeremy Johnson** TTB 2004 BMW E46 M3 187

Jason Covington TTB 2005 BMW E46 M3 102 Hawk Performance, SPEC Motorsports

Allan Page TTB 2006 BMW M3 01

Steve Jones** TTB 2003 BMW M3 68

Jeremy Rohan** TTB 2013 Lotus Elise 171

Trey Rozelle TTD 1991 Mazda Miata 723 Trackspeed Engineering

Eric Johnson* TTE 1999 Mazda Miata 494

Ken Brewer TTF 1994 Toyota MR2 6 Thanks for the contingency program Hoosier!

(*) indicates TT rookie in first full weekend / evaluation

(**) indicates pending check-ride, but listed since they've got a pretty good history and should pass. No pressure on 'em

What's with TTB turing into SpecE46? Well almost spec, I know there's some variation in each of your approaches for the most part. Should be interesting Watch the Lotus spoil the party or something too, heh!

Still missing some regulars like KenO, Chris Kearns, The Fairs, etc. And I'd love to see some old regulars return like Tim Ray, Troy Messer, Mike Perkins, Mike Weathers, Crazy Joe Woodhead, etc and get on the list too...

It will be tough for an S2000 to keep up with the M3's at a hp track like TWS, but I may come try anyway.

Last time you ran with us at MSRH you dusted all of us. Come to TWS for a re-match! I realize its an HP track but it's not like your car is a slouch at Road Atlanta!

Ken - I am also trying to get signed off for TT3. I am supposed to get check ride with Scott Adams on Friday. Do I need to e-mail you my TT application?

Have the hardcopy with you at the event, we'll look at it. Scott's checkride is the big key thing to check off

Ken,

Can you move my potential registration to TT3?

E46M #187

Thanks!

you can edit your class

https://nasaproracing.com/profile/events

select the event and hit the "update registration" link

Let me know if you have issues and we can get it done on our end too. It's a little harder on that end but it'll work in a pinch.

Fun fact - under that events directory once you sign-in it lists every NASA event you've signed up for not only coming up but also in the past. My first one was apparently May 2004.

Trying to get a few guys from NOLA to come over but can't find any lodging. Anyone have any suggestions within a reasonable commuting distance and at a reasonable price?

Just looked at hotels...this is the same weekend as a home A&M football game!!! In other words, my $70/night hotel is now $200+/night!

All hotels within 25 miles are $155+/night...might have to think twice about this event...

Maybe stay on the NW side of Houston off 290 around BW8/1960? You can get to/from the track in 45 minutes, 1 hour tops. I sleep at home on the SE side of Houston when running TWS and can get to/from in ~90 minutes...that approach probably doesn't work for everyone though.

I just recieved an email letting me know I was bumped at my $70/night rate as well. At least they contacted me this time. Last time I went down there on some A&M formal weekend thing and had to pay over $200/night to stay at the Marriott because it was the only opening in town. It sucks ass, but I'm not above a tent at the track.

Don't most of you E46 guys usually share beds? You could easily do four to a room. lolol

check Navasota and father south down Hwy 6 - that's starting to get far enough away from A&M to not get football weekend traffic/rates/etc. Had to do that one year when it was parent's weekend.

Amy and I will be in for TT3 at TWS, if there's anything left of us or the car after NASA Nationals. We're all burned out and have been working around the clock for 3 weeks, and load up for the tow to SLC in a few days.

_DSC1504-M.jpg

We're going to finally earn the 0.5 power to weight ratio hit for "non-stock aero". Progress on our Mustang front aero work, in prep for Nationals: http://www.vorshlag.com/blog/?p=679

_DSC1057-M.jpg

So add TT3 197 to the list, for one and possibly 2 entries (TT3 97) for TWS. We're going to make every event on the Texas calendar this year, one way or another.

edit: we're back from Nats and signed up now.
