Karen Salvaggio Posted August 27, 2013 Share Posted August 27, 2013 WERC Points Update: http://nasanorcal.com/results/werc/WERC2013.htm Special thanks to the 17 race teams that travelled to Miller Motorsports Park earlier this month to compete in the 6 Hour Enduro. This was an historic event, in that it was the first night race, and the longest endurance race to be held in the history of Miller Motorsports Park. Congratulations to all of our competitors! We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of NASA Utah Regional Director Roger Miller. Roger was a true competitor and believer in endurance racing, and it was a true pleasure working with him and the staff at Miller MP in the development of this race. In our post event discussions, Roger had already indicated that he was very pleased with how the 6 hour enduro went (we ran all six hours without a single full course caution, and not one car needing to be towed off track!), and that he was looking forward to hosting the WERC again next year. Roger's passing is indeed a great loss to the racing community, and I join our fellow WERC competitors in extending our deepest of sympathy to Roger's wife Cheri, and to the entire Miller family.
