Hi all,

I am having a bit of an issue.

I was wondering if any of my fellow racers have ideas on how to boost car counts? I plan on making a "What is SPEC Z" video but until i get my footage i feel like i am kind of stuck. I currently have people building cars in my area but I would like to get to that full pack status. Ive also considered taking my car to some local Z meets and just showing it off to see if anyone would be interested in a build but i haven't tried it yet! Please give me some suggestions! Thanks!

It will take some time, and as people see the SpecZs out there, more will enter. Then there are the people that already have Zs that track them and may or may not know about the class. Those that know about the class and have inquired, have also likely seen a lot of back-and-forth with rules changes, and limited support from Nissan and NASA. It's a ton of work to get the series going, to make the class fair between the 3 versions of the Z, and very time-consuming to level the field. Talking with people, videos, and just having cars out there will help.

There is some planning going on in the South East - lead by Team Pelle (Jay Pellegrini) - for a Late October / early November Spec Z Shootout in New Orleans.

I know he is in conversation with Nissan for support -- you may want to connect with him when he returns from Nationals.

 

The goal would be to have as many Z's as possible - I think there is interest in at least 7 of us for this event.

Would be a great format to shoot some video and some stills.
