johnnewcomb62 Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Of the responses I have had the most asked question is what does going thru mean? What I was planning on doing to the car: 1) First I was going to take the engine out and check the bottom end and have the head reworked and purchase the latest cam, and flywheel. The previous owner said the clutch was new. And depending on what the bottom end looks like may go ahead and replace bearings and rings. 2) I was going to check the master cylinders ( previous owner said they were new ) and make sure they were. Then I have rebuild kits for the calipers and I was going to do that. The braided lines for the brakes are brand new so that won't be an issue. 3) I was going to do some checking on the different things about the wiring ie: any wires not needed or things that I didn't care whether it was on the car and then install the new ignition system. Which I have as a spare. Then of course tidy up the wires. 4) Look at all the hiems ( previous owner said he had just changed them all out ) and make sure they all were OK. 5) Change the fluid out for the tranny 6) Put the zsus fasteners back in the bodywork then put on the new numbers and any striping that I might want. 7) Put the slicks with only one session on the current wheels and she should be ready for the track I have it listed on the Alabama SCCA website and there are several photos there for veiwing as well. http://www.alscca.net/community/showthread.php?t=3844 Thanks, John Newcomb Quote
