Hokie Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) Motivated seller: price lowered to $16,000 I am selling my 2002 Corvette Z51. I purchased the car in the Summer of 2010 with around 60,000 miles on the clock, and the odometer currently reads 104,000. I do not commute to work, and the car sees mainly highway miles (e.g. the Hawk pads currently on the car have lasted 40,000 miles and have tons of life left). The car has never been in an accident, and I have a flawless Carfax report that I can send to any interested parties. I have tracked the car through a few HPDE events per year, and the car was maintained accordingly. I always used separate wheels, tires, and rotors for the track, so no street parts were compromised. All synthetic fluids were changed with new synthetics less than 500 miles ago: Mobil 1 oil, Amsoil transmission, Amsoil differential, Amsoil power steering, ATE Blue brake fluid (brakes and clutch). Additionally, both sunvisors were replaced with factory new pieces recently, and I replaced the headliner late last year. It passed MD inspection earlier this year and had the following items updated: new driver’s outer tie rod end, new battery and new serpentine belt. The car will also come with proper Haynes manuals (3 volume set) in excellent condition, as well as an outdoor car cover. 2002 Corvette Black exterior Light grey interior 6-speed manual transmission Z51 suspension package Heads-Up Display (HUD) Driver and Passenger power seats 12-disc CD changer Fog lights Body matched side moldings Polished factory “thinspoke” wheels Hankook V12 tires with less than 5k miles (last set lasted me 40,000 miles) Modifications: West Coast Corvette skip-shift eliminator Vararam intake with pre-cut fog light surroudns Borla Stinger rear exhaust (two tip design) MGW shifter Hawk HPS pads iPod interface for iPod/iPhone4 (can be upgraded to newer iPhone hookup) Outdoor car cover from Mid America Motorworks, with carrying bag Stock and spare parts: Brand new set of Hawk HPS pads Stock airbox and filter Stock fog light surrounds (if you want to remove the Vararam) Stock power seats Stock shifter Extra shift boot Timken wheel bearing Spare Vararam filter and a bottle of filter cleaner (so you can drive the car, while you’re cleaning/prepping the other filter) The interior track parts below are currently installed on the car, and can be added for the price mentioned. If the buyer wants the car stock, everything can be returned back to factory spec. The other items can be added for the price mentioned. Track Parts: Sparco EVO 2 Plus seats x2 - $800 C6 manual sliding seat base massaged to work in a C5 x2 - $200 Hardbar harness bar - $300 Hardbar lap belt bar x2 - $250 Crow 6-point harnesses (cam lock) x2 - $200 C4 Grandsport replica wheels with 315/17 Hoosier A6 tires (only 6 heat cycles) - $600 Brand new rotors unopened - $125 Raybestos 47/45 pads - free Carbotec XP12/10 pads - free KBB for a good condition is $18,000 and this is worth every bit of that price. I’m asking $16,000 for the car, and an extra $2,000 for all the track parts. The car has almost brand new tires, spare brakes, in addition to the popular modifications which I’m not even considering in the FS price. I have the clean MD title in hand, to make this a smooth transaction. I am listing the car, because I have my eye on something else for sale. If the other car I’m interested in sells first, I will pull this off the market. Unless you are selling a Gen2 Viper, or early NSX, I am not interested in your trade. I included a few pictures I have of the car below, and will take current photos when I have time this weekend. If you have any specific photo requests let me know, and I will address them this weekend. Current photos: Front tires: Rear tires: Current mileage: Stock seats which go with the sale, dime-size tear on the outside of the driver's bolster: In "track" guise: Edited October 24, 2013 by Guest Quote
Hokie Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Original post has been updated with current photos of the car. I looked at the Kuhmos race tires again, and they had bad camber wear and could not make it through another event. They have been removed, and the Hoosier A’s are currently mounted on the track wheels. Price is OBO, so if you’re interested PM me. Quote
