Some cars like Porsche Factory Cup cars are not VIN'd and by current rules would be illegal in GTS.

 

Clarification to allow these types of cars. I think the intent of the rule was to keep crazy tube framed type stuff from GTS, but the current rules disallow Cup Cars, WTCC, etc

And for a clarification, the Cup cars are VIN'd, but the VIN is non-registerable as standard practice. Now, you can go through a bunch of BS to get it registered, in some states easier than others, so what's the point of that technicality.
