Im new to this and want to bring my 2000 Trans am. It has T-tops and the question is do you need a roll cage with t-tops to participate?

Thank you

No. Some tracks/regions may require you to run with the tops removed, especially if they are glass.

I have run a variety of cars none with crazy mods.

83 944, stock springs & bars with bilsteins and DOT slicks. stock motor with aftmkt exhaust.

86 GTi minor suspension mods, track pads, race exhaust, stock wheels and dot slicks.

86 951, stock less a chip and a K&N filter, street/track pads.

All my cars get SS braided brake lines and high temp brake fluid.

My focus has always been just to get seat time. Making the driver faster is more important than making the car faster.

Once you decide to stick with a car for a while, start off with safety upgrades. Seats, cage, harnesses, fire suppresion.

bottom line,

have fun.
