Hawk Performance will present the ‘High Performance Street 3hr GP of Buttonwillow’ at the next stop of the Western Endurance Racing Championship on June 7th. Hawk Performance will present the overall winner with a custom-designed Hawk Performance trophy specific to this event along with making over $4,000 in contingency available to podium finishers in all classes.

Hawk performance will make available $350 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place, and $125 for 3rd place to each of the 6 classes in the event. The only requirement each team must fulfill is to prominently display Hawk Performance Decals on the team’s vehicle.

However bigger news is the release of a brand new street pad compound. states;

“Hawk is using the endurance race to promote our new High Performance Street 5.0 compound that was announced earlier this week” said Mike DeFord, VP of Marketing at Hawk Performance. “This new compound is aimed squarely at people just like many NASA members that use their vehicle for HPDE events on the weekend and daily street duty during the week. Our partnership with NASA and the WERC series is a perfect fit for Hawk Performance as we are always working together as partners and this is a perfect example of that. We will also be releasing a new High Performance Street-Race compound very soon and again directed at NASA members who require a brake pad that can stand up to the rigors of Time Trial competition or heavy track usage while still able to get them to and from work during the week. Look for further announcements on that new compound very soon”.
