NASA Jim
Perhaps he was referring to the RHD Integra or the Type R rolling shell...

I didn't see any Porsches on that list either, but... I think it would be the 4200 pound minimum weight that will being keeping the Supra out of USTCC competition. Biggie
true true... but with the porsche there was a sensible arguement... the 968 is a "COUPE" etc., etc., the tt supra is like the Mustang GT version in japan... Other than the turbos, what is the difference between the Supra and the Porsche? Both are front engine rear wheel drive? Both have two doors and a hatch? Both have 3 liter engines? Both have 4 seats? rscapri
The TT Supra is not a USTCC legal car unless you ran the normally aspirated version. Ali
Andrie
I don't get it. Are we doing away with the 2.8L limit in engine displacement as well? This will open a can of worms.
rscapri
that's WC. we don't have a displacement limit
Biggie
I don't get it. Are we doing away with the 2.8L limit in engine displacement as well? This will open a can of worms. That limit has not been enforced at all this year, nor is it in the rule book... We have had M3s and 3 liter Porsche running since Cali Speedway! As the Evo is legal and the Supra TT is not... I can only assume that there is some kind of a limit somewhere in the 280-300+ factory HP range. Everything that falls below that seems to be okay. I still don't understand the "rules" governing what exactly is a touring car according to the USTCC. I'm sure Ali is the guy to ask when a Supra or other higher HP cars wants to enter our series. rscapri
Evo is legal but Supra TT is not. That is correct. Anything with over 300 hp stock is not legal. Anything with no back seat is not legal. Anything with more than one turbo is not legal. Older cars are not legal. Anything with more than 6 cyls is not legal. Those are some of our definitions for what is allowed and what is not. KIWI
Sorry guys I felt sure it would be legal? Turbo's and all? And hell it's not like me to open a can of worms? Anyway, how about the JDM Integra? Or the Type R Shell? Kiwi
turboice
So would the STi be legal then? Still a nice car for sale - it should go easily given its loyal albeit smaller following.
