Brian,

Does the single list indicate we are having a single run group?

Right now we are under 50 cars - we will have 2 run groups if count goes up

Hi guys - newly moved from Central region to NorthEast and getting settled in at the new homestead in Chester, NJ. Looking forward to making the trip up to the Glen at the end of the month and wondering if anyone knows of racecar rentals that weekend. Maybe for Saturday or Sunday only. I'm bringing my BRZ to burn off the stock tires in TTD (albeit slowly) but want to get some racing in since I haven't raced since June and don't have an actual racecar.

Thanks for the link. It might be a little too rich for me (just spent quite a large sum moving cross country). I'd normally rent a car from someone already attending who didn't want to do all the races that weekend (like co drive in an enduro or rent the car in non-points paying races). We had a lot of guys who did that (helps defray their costs of going to the event).

Talked to Andrew and will try to sync up to rent a car for a race or two. Just found out that my new hometown has one of the largest Oktoberfest events with full bier garten and the service ladies dress the part. Wifey is mad I may go racing that weekend - we'll now see if I can get "permission". May have to wait until October NJMP event to head on out.

Count is up to 53. How many needed for 2 run groups?

Correction... how many more GTS so GTS gets its own group

As the driver of one of the "slower" GTS2 cars, I have to question the logic of throwing slower GTS1 and 2 cars in with the faster (read, much faster) GTS3-5, AI, SU, etc. cars just for the sake of keeping the GTS cars all together. I saw, and experienced numerous close calls at Lime Rock this July between we slower GTS1 and 2 cars and the rest of the Autobahn group. And even though I realize that racing with faster cars is part of the racing experience, having to constantly drive your mirrors for cars closing at speed differentials of as much as 50 mph, frankly makes for a less than enjoyable racing experience.

Personally, I've always liked racing in the Lightning group - more dented-up cars and more closely matched speeds. . .

Just my 2-cents worth (or lack thereof!). OK you fast GTS2 drivers, what's your take on this?

Nationals had everyone in one group with zero issue. Just sayin'.

Just signed up - got the permission from the wifey (life lesson is a divorce always costs more than racing).

Not sure which car I'll have, but I will do my best to make the Glen. Tony Senese, your comment looking at my crispy remains of a race car may end up being spot on
