1996 Pontiac Firebird. $9000.


- Built by PHOENIX Motorsports(Joe Aquilante)from a new car. Has always been a race car.

- Built for Grant Carter and made its debut at the 1996 SCCA Run-Offs.

- Previous owners include Tom Oates, Terry Eskind, Richard Devaney and Steven Bessert.

- Has competed VERY successfully in SCCA T-1, T-2 and American Sedan as well as NASA AI, AIX and ST-2. Multiple National wins.

- Logbooks for both SCCA and NASA.


- NASCAR style low doorbars and gutted doors.

- Sparco PRO 2000 seat mounted on sliders and has an adjustable back brace. Center net installed.

- Removeable 15" steering wheel and tilt steering column(steering lock removed).

- Rebuilt LT-1 making 322 HP and 345 ft-lbs torque.

- T-56 6-speed transmission(pops out of reverse - common problem).

- Hooker Super Comp headers(1-3/4" primaries), 3" collectors and "Y"-pipe and single 4" exhaust ending before the rear axle with a turn-down.

- PAINLESS Performance wiring harness(part #65105) and ignition conversion kit(part #60126).

- AUTOMETER 5" monster tach, water temp and oil pressure gauges.

- MOROSO switch panel and fuse block.

- BAER "Track Sport" 12-inch front brake kit.

- LG Motorsports driveshaft loop and engine bay brace.

- HOTCHKIS swaybars. 37mm(1-7/16”) front bar and 25mm(1”) rear.

- Eibach springs.

- Bilstein shocks.

- K&N FIPK2.

- Fiberglass “lift-off” hood with hood pins(no stock hood hinges).

- 2 sets of FISKE 2-piece wheels(VERY LIGHT), one set mounted with Hoosier 275/40-17 A's and one set with R's.

- Stock 16" wheels with Goodyear all-seasons to rolling around the shop or trailering.


- Car is race or trackday ready with new fluids and proper alignment. I am in the process of painting the interior & rollcage and when done, will be replacing the old windshield. Car needs nothing.

***BUMP for a lowered price. $8000*** I have not painted the interior nor replaced the windshield and will sell for $8000 as it sits. You replace the windshield and its ready to go.


Car weighs 3192 w/o driver but with a full tank of gas. No ballast.

I must have been sniffing too much carb cleaner the day that typed the ad for the car. I inadvertently said that the car has 17" wheels/tires when in fact they are 16's. A small "brain fart" on my part, but the car does in fact roll on 275/45-16 tires!!!


My bad!!! Sorry for the confusion.
