Does anyone know if there will be sound limit for Western Nats this year there? If so, what DB level? Need to come up with a compliant exhaust if so. Thanks in advance.

Wynn- same rig as last year. I'm planning to stop off a night about halfway. Its still a 25hr haul for me though.

I know that the DB level is somewhere between 103-105 normally for Laguna, just want to know for sure before I make plans.

I believe its 105db

has this been published or anything anywhere yet?

what source do you have to ensure that's the figure?

Not trying to be mean, just flesh out how firm/realistic that number may be is all.

What's the distance they measure at also? That makes a little bit of difference too.

About 100 feet? This shed: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Mazda+Raceway+Laguna+Seca/@36.5798594,-121.7524026,50m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x808df089bfd5341b:0xddbb6644155538c0

For what it's worth, the track's calender (http://www.mazdaraceway.com/calendar/2015-08) says "105dBA" for the three days. It's pretty easy to pass those levels at Laguna. If you have a (right) side-exit then there might be problems. If you can clamp a little turnout to the tailpipe to send the noise leftwards, it would be prudent to have that in the trailer just in case.

Apparently, it will be a 105 dB event.

105 dB at 100' is still pretty damn loud - should be able to meet it without dropping horsepower

besides Dysen you need to get ready for 103 dB @ 50' for the new Bluebonnet track anyway.

That's hard core. Are there any other Texas region guys going to West Nats? It's probably worth rounding up some locals and splitting a hauler.
