I have a couple questions for my first weekend with NASA

What time is the track open on Friday to bring our rigs in?

Can we pit up on the turn 2 paddock?

I don't see anything on the race track schedule for Friday per http://www.racesonoma.com/schedule/raceway/ but I'm not positive how early they'll let you in, but I would guess sometime in the early afternoon, but you might want to check with the race track directly. I typically arrive in the early evening on Fridays, but by the time I get there, many people are already setup in the paddock.

As far as parking - the Nasa Norcal website http://nasanorcal.com/?/site/section_schedule/ has a tentative schedule that includes a paddock map at http://nasanorcal.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ScheduleV4combined.pdf but again that is tenatative and I believe that an updated schedule and map will be e-mailed out Wednesday afternoon by Scott Smith. The tentative schedule does show that parking is allowed in the upper paddock (fairly near turn 2). Occasionally, they'll have a car show or something else, but that upper paddock is usually available especially if the bottom paddock is full. I'm not positive if you're aware, but there are basically no power outlets in the paddock, so hopefully your rig includes a generator. - Jim

Thanks for the good info. I have a couple cars I'm going to try and get dynoed so I thought it would be easier to pit next to MCE. Mife wife likes to watch from turn 2 so it's also a shorter walk.

I think the gates open as early as 6:00am on Friday. I usually get there early morning if you have a larger rig and want a decent spot to park.

For this weekend only I will be in garage 9 and 10 if you need any help or have any ST questions, I normally park behind the grand stands in the open parking area.

What car are you running in ST?

And BTW, Welcome to NorCal ST!
