KraziLee
I'm trying to decide which would be a better swap into my DC (04-07 Integra) chassis. By "Better", I mean cheapest with good power and reliability. I'm racing in the US Touring series. All I know about the B20 is that its like an LS/VTEC conversion but my ITR drivetrain will bold right on. H22 is a larger VTEC engine (stock) but requires a different tranny, custom mounts and axles. Any advice on either is greatly appreciated.
DeeBo
I'd probably go with the H22. Much more torque... Only 40lbs more. More reliable. May need to play with the spring rates to get the handles right. I have a civic b18c5 (i know it's not a b20Vtec) and I got murdered tonight by a guy in a civic W/ a H22. Hope this helps. BrianZ
We have seen what a H22 can do in DA.. with a little tuneing and suspention work that car would have been on the podium!
bpanther
Lee, Keep in mind the VSS weights for the H22 and B20. B20 = 2375lbs H22 = 2590lbs Thats a whopping 215 lb difference.... However from what we've seen the H22 powered cars have shown better performance (in my opinion)than the 3 B20s that were built this year. If my notes are correct, your car is currently ~2430lbs with driver.
