Building Guidance Audi TT GTS MR conversion

I'm building an Audi TT to run in GTS. I've always been a big Audi guy and I was able to pick up the shell for almost nothing. The biggest draw for GTS for me is the openess of the rules. This was a project that I wanted to do for the challenge and having a series to run it in is really a bonus. I plan on running a mid mounted Audi 2.7L V6 twin turbo 30 valve engine with a Passat transmission. I plan on mounting it all with Audi B6 subframe in the rear. This give me a complete multilink suspension.

So my question now is how much custom fabrication can I do before I run into trouble with the tube frame chassis rule. I'd like to join the strut towers together across the engine and then tie them into the cage. I'd also like to do something to the same effect to mount the subframe.

Here's the car. 01 Audi TT 180 HP Quattro.

The engine (yes it's in my laundry room, yes that's my boy, I'm teaching him what's called priorities). It's a 2.7L twin turbo. I have a spare block and a stroker crank as well.

On a separate topic, you are planning this as a GTS3 build or higher right? For 2016 with the displacement restrictions you aren't eligible for GTS1 or 2 with that motor.

I wasn't too worried about where I'd fall. I expect to be in gts3 but I could be in gts4 by the time it's done. Definitely if I do the stroker crank. I'm not worried about where I land, I just want to put it on a track.
