rob burgoon Posted October 20, 2016 Share Posted October 20, 2016 The claims are as follows: - The NB is easier to drive at the limit than the NA. - The reason for this is in the NB they fixed bump steer AND changed the geometry for more favorable roll centers. Rack shims fix the bump steer but don't fix the roll centers. - NA geometry can be driven just as fast, but it's much tougher to execute 10 such laps in a row. Drago championed this change while on the SMAC I think. The rumor is that someone with a lot of influence didn't like it and bent the ear of someone on the rules committee or whatever that SCCA board is called and shot it down. What do you guys think?
