Technical Bulletin--3-25-17:

Addition to ST Rules:

Appendix B— ST3 & ST4 OEM Aero Modification Factor non-BTM approvals

Note: This statement from section 7.3.2.D.1 still applies to the above vehicles, "and do not have a rear wing or rear spoiler"

Are we reemphasizing no rear wing or did we add cars to the Appendix? (no link, rules pdf same version as before?)

Greg,

So to clarify for ST3, if the car came with a BTM wing, in order to get the mod factor I have to remove this wing? (Car is a 99 Nissan Skyline GTR)

Thanks

ST4 and ST3 Production Vehicle “BTM Aero” Modification Factor ST4 and ST3 Production vehicles that maintain the unmodified Base Trim Model (BTM) body lines, do not have non-BTM aerodynamic aides or modifications, and do not have a rear wing or rear spoiler or rear diffuser may assess the Modification Factor for “BTM Aero” in calculating the “Adjusted Wt/HP Ratio”.

Yes, the wing would need to be removed.

However, I’m not certain that the GT-R  is actually any kind of base trim Skyline.
