This is an extremely low mile, BOSS 302S that has only a few practice laps at Lime Rock Park! ***NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE-BILL OF SALE ONLY-NO TITLE*** Ford may no longer offer its Boss 302 package for the Mustang, but when Ford Racing Parts announced it will offer the Mustang Boss 302S for the 2014 model year,50 lucky Customers were allowed to place their orders.The model will be limited to only 50 units and it will be the last year the 302S will be offered before the next generation arrives on the market. The model is ready for track days and road racing in a number of SCCA and NASA classes.The Mustang Boss 302S was originally produced between 1969 and 1970 and then reintroduced in 2011. Since its reintroduction, the model won numerous championships and in 2011, it tied the record set in 1970 for race wins by the same Mustang driver in a professional production based series at 5 wins.For the 2014 model year, the 302S will be offered in either Performance White or Grabber Blue, with Satin Black being offered as an option.On this beastly racecar, Ford Racing Parts installed a carbon-fiber front splitter and adjustable rear wing. Also added in is a unique fiberglass hood with air extractors. The model is further distinguished by a specially designed Boss 302S graphics package. The interior of the Boss 302S is essentially gutted for racing purposes. Ford Racing Parts installed a Recaro pro racer seat with a HANS device and a six-point racing harness. There is also a quick-release racing steering wheel for easy exit and entry, a window net, a dual-nozzle fire system, a master cutoff switch and an AIM data acquisition system with a GPS for tracking lap times and much more while racing.For the 2014 model year, the 302S will retain the 5.0-liter V-8 Boss racing engine with custom cooling and fuel systems. The model comes equipped with a T-6060 six-speed transmission with integrated cooling pump and a 3.73 rear end with Torsen T2R differential.For the 2014 model year, the 302S comes with standard 19-inch wheels.A Brembo brake system with 380 mm (14.96-inch) up front and 350 mm (13.8-inch) on the rear that are squeezed by four-piston calipers each. The brake system is further optimized by PFC racing pads, stainless-steel brake lines, an FR brake booster and ABS calibration, and a brake duct kit to help keep things cool.The 2014 Boss 302S comes equipped with a coil-over front struts and coil-over rear tubular shocks. The front suspension also includes extended lower ball joints, a delrin bushing kit, a Ford Racing adjustable sway bar, and camber/caster plates. The rear suspension includes a sway bar and three-way adjustable dampers.Ford Racing parts certainly has Mustang tuning down to an absolute science, and for good reason: they are inside Ford’s little engineering circle. Its engineers have spent countless hours refining the Boss 302S program to make it the most potent racing `Stang available. Sure, nearly $90k is a pretty penny to shell out for a tuned up Mustang, but this is not your typical tuner kit; this is a full-on racecar.
