Fastoldman
Assuming since nothing very large is listed under the tire size portion of the configurator, one should just move on to tire type, selecting the Non- DOT penalty of +5? Seems the only logical situation since some newer cars will have rims larger than the templates and it would be impossible to have a small tire fit ( i.e. example , 13 inch rear rim) on a Viper, for instance. Sad to see these rulings , personally, as have seen a lot of my friends move over to NASA as it has been considered simpler, less expensive , and easier to participate. I personally am very afraid this confusion on tires will necessitate a lot of budget racers finding out they will need to switch tires to a different brand, maybe buy new rims ( guys that already have 2-3 sets they bought over a few years will be frustrated ) and this could even affect some who have minor sponsorships. DanielsDM
You can run DOT tires as wide as you want with a 0 modifier, don't select anything under Tire Size or Tire Type on the form.
