June 22 night race at Firebird Raceway/Phoenix

Anyone entertaining thoughts of attending. I was thinking about it. Long tow, but I got a house there so lodging is free. I will try and set my schedule up to see if it is possible.

You can guys can find out more by calling Dan Webb (one of the AZ Directors) at 480-205-2838. They would love to have a CMC contingent down there and will welcome all of you with open arms. I believe that they are going to have a sprint race and then an Enduro to finish out the night.

Called Dan and he will email details of June 22. A normal race and a night enduro. I will post the details as soon as I receive them.

The following is from Dan.

 

When: June 22

Where: Firebird International Raceway

What: This will be a night event, beginning at 3pm and ending at 11pm.

We will run groups for HPDE and all race groups. Race groups will be

running a practice session a qualifying race and an Enduro. The Enduro

will last 90 minutes and will include a mandatory 5 min. pit stop.

Headlights are required. Driver changes are allowed.

Cost: Race Groups are $159 and HPDE groups are $139, there will be a

pre-registration discount, please register online at

http://www.nasaproracing.com. Registration will open on May 22.

Perry, I can't make this event but would be interested in the future. Are you participating?

This section of Firebird doesn't come highly recommended. Add that to the fact that it is Nascar Weekend at Sears Point and I think I will bag it.

 

Some of the FBod folks in Phoenix have suggested specifically staying away from the section of Firebird Raceway to be used for the Jun 22nd event.
