Hope to see some of you out at the track soon.

Look for me, I will be the one fading back not being able to keep pace.

Looking forward to some AI action or CMC.

Is there CMC and AI in the Tx area? I looked at the regional Nasa site, but it looked like a really light schedule...what's the general story with road racing out there??

Al,

It is a light schedule, really just getting started this year. We had a race at Motorsports Ranch last weekend, just two AI cars entered. Next race for 03 is in August, hope to see more entries at that time. CMC hopefully will be getting off the ground soon with Todd's guidance. I think 04 is where we really need to focus and if we can all get together places like here it will assist us in getting these two series up and running more quickly. I think we're late to the show in TX, but hope to see us make up ground quickly to be a real race class/series.

Al,

Mike is correct - the NASA schedule is very light this year due to some scheduling issues with another track. However, we hope to have a larger schedule for the 2004 race season.

There are many OT/HPDE events in the TX, OK area.

Todd Covini and I will be working very dilligently to get these 3 classes ( CMC/AI/AIX ) up to speed soon.

Keep checking back here, and/or feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Also, if you have any friends or know of someone who is interested in racing CMC, AI, or AIX, especially if they have a Camaro or Firebird, please have them contact us!

As for Eric not being able to keep pace - I call BS on that one.

Wow, small world...I used to know an Adam Ginsberg back in Ct. Anyway, I actually live in Ca and compete here, but I'm in the oil biz and there's this irresistible force that pulls us to Houston for some reason...so I'm very interested in keeping up with the racing world there, just in case I stop being able to resist the pull.

Its good to see you guys on here and best of luck getting things rolling faster there. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Sheez, Al...you don't have to tell me about how the oil biz pulls you back to Houston!! I'm with ExxonMobil...moved here last year from Walnut Creek. The "Mobil 1 CMC Mustang" will make it's debut in Texas come August. We'll be sure to keep you updated here! Y 'all come out to race, y'hear??

That's funny Todd...so now you live in a mansion that cost half as much as the closet you used to live in in Walnut Creek? On a serious note, how often can you race out there? In Ca its pretty easy to find an event every couple of weeks (if your budget allows). The CMC schedule is 9 full weekends here.

Al...you got that right. The economics of scale coming from Walnut Creek to Houston was great! I went from a 1400 sq.ft townhouse with a 1.5 car garage (no driveway) to at 4300 sq.ft home with a 3 car garage with RV parking (for my trailer) and a driveway that we could grid a CMC race on....oh...for ~$50k cheaper!!!

But I miss the weather and I miss the racing...so we'll get Texas up to speed in CMC & AI soon and just ignore the heat. There is no reason Texas can't be as busy as Calif. when it comes to racing events...right now it's just a little light. We'll get there!!!

Talk to you soon...
