Members Al F. Posted April 30, 2003 Members Posted April 30, 2003 Anybody interested in entering the 3hr enduro on saturday night at Willow? Quote
Steve Graves1548534707 Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 Sounds like Fun Al. Do you know what time it starts, and what the cost is? Thanx, Esse' #81... Quote
Members Al F. Posted April 30, 2003 Author Members Posted April 30, 2003 The race starts at 6:30pm and ends at 9:30pm, so lights are required. I have to do more research with people that have run these before to properly estimate costs, but as of now I'm thinking it will be close to $350 per driver for a two driver team (drop to about $250 per driver for three drivers) considering entry fee, fuel, a set of brake pads, and consideration for tire wear. I could be drastically wrong in how quickly the tires will get destroyed though...I'll get back to you. Quote
NickS Posted May 1, 2003 Posted May 1, 2003 I'm intersted. Gonna need some seriously big lights. I ran a Night enduro with Per Heldin in the #81 firebird and boy did we need those lights! - N Quote
Steve Graves1548534707 Posted May 7, 2003 Posted May 7, 2003 Nicholai, que pasa? Just wondering if'n you'd be into teaming up on the #81 for the 3-Hour Enduro with myself and possibly Per if he doesn't hook up a 4th gen ride. It would probably make more sense to go ahead and run 3 drivers since there'll be 2 fuel-stops anyways. The Car's doing good. Handling much better nowadays with Per's Koni Yellows in the rear and new rear lower control arms. Oh, yeah, lot's of lights too. 4 high-beams, and 4 fog-spots. Also, no recent electrical meltdowns. I'll be out @ B-Willow friday the 16th to Dyno and Test, so I'll go ahead and run all the lights while I'm out. Esse' #81... P.S. Finally had to put in a new clutch. I toasted the old one on Sundays race @ T-Hill. Quote
ToTheLimit Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 well sounds as long as car is not broken in Saturday sprint races we will be running #81 in Night Enduro... Myself, Car owner ESSE' , and Al Fernandez...hope to prove 8cylinders can make it at least 3-hrs Quote

Just want to finish in front of Ryans Honda..If we do..will take the money ($200) he promised and do one hell of BBQ at Sears Point Quote
bsim Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 Per - I'll be around to help in anyway I can. Count me in... Quote
ExRacer Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 Hey guys, if I don't get a ride myself, I'll try to help. Only other conflict would be a sponsor dinner, but maybe they'll be into getting involved! Hmm, Ryan has to pay 200 bones, interesting. Those Hondas are fast . . Later, Mike #2 PS2 (Maddog) CMC car on the way! Quote
ToTheLimit Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 Hey! Feeling the pressure coming on now with so much support, we just have to finish and prove that we can do it.. And as it seems we will be the only CMC car running the Enduro..We will race not as TEAM ESSE'....We will run as TEAM CMC..!!! And as it sounds like we got the tire and fuel issues resolved.. Anybody out there just happen to have a set of brand new front brake pads they just dont need... Per (Team coordinator and driver in the dark for #81 ES/CMC) Quote
