I just got a call from Ron at AIM, who tells me tires in our size are trickling in. You may want to give him a call and secure a set (especially if your only set looks like my only set!!)

If anyone gets really desperate, there are Toyo RA-1s available from sources in Canada. They are more expensive than those from AIM and other US sources, but I bought some a couple of months ago because there simply weren't any available in the U.S. (not even AIM could get them). Cost includes customs duties and shipping from Vancouver was about $5 a tire.

Again, if anyone needs some tires quickly and AIM is out of stock, try these guys at http://www.1010tires.com/Toyo.html.

I have a source for Toyo's not too bad on the price... as pick up ....Paso is $174 per tire and yes this are the right ones..... BUT these are NOT shaved tires there are full tread.... I don't know why AIM can't get any..... The Tire Store.... in Paso .... or SLO.... Per or Steve (ESSE) you guys know the place.... I talked to Kevin and they Have 28 of them in their wherehouse right now.... but since I can't seem to get my car out and I have a brand new set of (Rains) mounted waiting their turn I have no use for them .... I just read they other postings and called Kevin @ the Tire Store 805 237 0377.... he has them.... I do believe AIM can shave them for you later...Rumor has it that the tire guys at Button Willow are going to install the shaving machine if they can get a deal to sell Toyo's .... that was the last time I talked to them and that was several months ago... that is all the info I know for now.... oh one other thing from the voice of experience.... register @ FEDEX .com for free and you will save a lot in shipping any thing of weight and size..... 4 wheels from MD 105 UPS.... 62 FedEX ....but you have to register before you call them.... just passing on the word ....hope it helps someone.... Hope to see you @ WS

Good call, Bud. I thought I remembered seeing a "Toyo" banner the last time I was at B-Willow. I just talked to Les out at the tire shop there and he said his shipment of 255/50r16ers will be in tommorrow (friday). And they have their Shaver up and running. Only $169 Shaved or $159 for Fulls. The 3 there is (661) 764-5333. Tell him you are CMC so we can get them to keep them stocked. Thanx, Bud----- Esse' #81...

Hey Guys..

We bought a set of shaved ones at BW this weekend and the guys out there is great to work with, Les Phillips is giving us a deal on these and make sure to mention the special CMC price if you order them from there. They are just starting to sell Toyos and they love to have our business.

I was under the impression that tires were $187 because a portion of that extra money went into the points fund.

You can buy the Toyos anywhere you want, and we receive the toyo money by tire count at the end of the year, not by where you purchase them.

Yep, the only thing we need to do is hangonto the receipts.

I just called BW to order a set of tires and they are quoting me $189 shaved. I'm waiting for a call back from Les to see what the deal is with the $169 / shaved price that Per mentioned...

Anyone know anything ?
