rdracer Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 Anybody got any tips.... Tony, thanks for the great job you did at the Plaza at Willow.... nice rooms -good price.... anything like that for Sears? or any other suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks Quote
roadtoad Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 Bud, Stay away from Vallejo. Its a shit hole. There's a guy at work who lived in Napa close to the track (well kinda) and I'll ask him for advice and post it later in the week. You drive a smellaro correct. I'll find you the best spot in town. Richard Pryor1548534703 Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 We stopped staying on the Vallejo side of the track when we found the "midnight pitcrew" doing some unauthorized lightening on our race car...there are two excellent choices on 101 just before the 37 turn off, both are in Novato and have freeway access and dining...my first choice is the Best Western Novato Oaks...AAA and AARP( hey, I qualify and I'll save $$$ where I can) discounts..rates around $150 per night...phone (415) 883-4400....just up the next exit is the Inn Marin (415) 883-5952 and the special SCCA racer rate is $90 or $99 per night all year long....this antique motel has been completely (almost ) remodeled and is 10 minutes from Sears Point...if you go any cheaper than this be prepared to have a bedmate that bites, and I don't mean Pamela Anderson...Vallejo motels are available from $29 per night. NickS Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 The Courtyard Marriot accross the fwy from the Inn Marin is $100 / night ( single bed w/ AAA rate). I personaly prefer the Marriot as its a bit quieter than Inn Marin as its further back from the freeway. - N Quote
rdracer Posted June 5, 2003 Author Posted June 5, 2003 look I know my car needs some lightning ....but I think I rather do it myself..... so I guess I'll stay away from valleho ... either of the places Nick or RP suggested sounds nice.... but how do I tell the wife we won't be staying in some quaint little B&B ..... like the package she saw on their website..... But Honey, I really need this for the car..... you know... Quote
