Post mortem - #37 tranny probs at Willow

Got the car back from CME, my benevolent sponsor! After breaking another tranny at Willow after giving the spare tranny to Erick(!) I found out it was a good thing Erick got that tranny and not me! I found out my clutch fork pivot was out of adjustment making it almost impossible to shift! That should be all fixed now, I am giving the car a shakedown at T-Hill Monday.

The shakedown of the new tranny went well today at T-Hill. I have never had a day with that car I did not have trouble shifting into 3rd, and everyone has heard my tranny going into reverse at the events! No more noise! It goes into every gear without any complaint. AIXer Alan Blaine and I had some fun with #37! Alan put in his passenger seat and we took turns driving. Weather was on the warm side, however, we had a nice breeze and we had a rare decent weatherwise June day at T-Hill.

See you all at Sears!

Great,

Glad to hear that its all fixed now!

My car should be running this weekend, found out a blown head gasket caused the overheat, but it was blown from the block side, not the head side, which is why it threw the water out of the radiator instead of sucking it in!

Decked the block and am ready to go.

Put velcro on the motor mounts....

Tony
