Texas American Iron & CMC Update

We are now less than 2 months away from the "Inaugural" Texas AI & CMC NASA event at Motorsport Ranch outside of Dallas. This event will be held on August 2 & 3 and should bring more local V8 racing to the area than ever before. At the current time, it appears as though 4 CMC cars and possibly 6 AI cars will be present.

Last month, an AI/CMC preview and meeting was planned at Texas World Speedway when Mike Bell's AI Mustang and Todd Covini's CMC Mustang were entered in The Driver's Edge performance driving event. Unfortunately, a last minute misunderstanding with the track owner and event promoter cancelled our tour of the facility and prevented some valuable track time.

Next CMC & AI preview will be held at "StangBang" on June 21st (www.fordpower.net) This event will be held at Grandsport Speedway, south of Houston. While this event is primarily for autocrossers, this abandoned blimp base should prove to be a great place to display the powerful package these AI & CMC cars have to more than 350 Mustang enthusiasts. Mike Bell & Todd Covini will have their cars and a NASA booth at this event, as well as race-car scales for anyone who wants to weigh their car.

Discussions with NASA TX indicate that the website should be updated anyday now to reflect news on our upcoming August event. Go ahead and register now as entries are limited.
