rdracer Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 glad to hear your tranny woes are behind you.... now , not to be a pest or anything but did you happen to get any pics of the front of your car, there are a couple of us waiting to see them as an example for what to do to our's.... any help anyone can give would be appreciated. Even just talking us through it .... or I will have to just ripping and tearing (according to the rules, of course) ..... at Willow my oil temp was too high .... and without an opening I have no place to put an oil cooler.... any suggestions? anyone! Any help on a rear spoiler would also be greatly appreciated, though I doubt I can get it done before Sears. Quote
Lady in Nomex Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Bud, I got some feedback from Alan Blaine that my front openings were not so good, so I did not take any photos for ya. I suggest you contact Alan Blaine for some input. I am plugging him below because he is very qualified. He did the roll cage repair and NASCAR door bars for me to boot - they get him lots of compliments. I also have one of his tire racks on my trailer. rdracer Posted June 10, 2003 Author Posted June 10, 2003 Thanks for the info.... He might be aways out of my area though.... but I will give him a call. I didn't see your opening at Willow, but it seems to me that any air flow within the rules and not distrubing the aero would surely be better than what I've got....None! .... firebirds are different in the frontend than the camaros ... I think they have it a little easier. Open and protected seem to be the two most inportant things along with a tow hook and as little lifting as possible. I will diffenitely give him a call. Robert Davis helps Mike Ellison and I alot down here maybe I will talk to him also. Robert never ran CMC but is now running Spec Miata as he just sold his ASC car. Seems like a lot of people are going to Spec Miata .... Money talks. Thanks anyway, but I still wish I had a picture of yours. Quote
Lady in Nomex Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 Bud - let me know what your e-mail is and I'll send you a photo I just took right after getting a bit closer with the right set-up on the 'Bird front end. Quote
