Tony G Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 (edited) Its official: Due to an excellent response, we will have a first annual test/tune /licensing program on February 7/8th at Infineon (Sears Point ). Please contact me or on this board if you are going. This is for anyone who is interested in getting their license, and has track experience. Sign up for Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will get you time on the track, then on Sunday we will spend the time needed to get you licensed, so you can join in on the fun this year. fastjohn Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 Tony count the new car #42??? there. Also do we need the 2nd seat for an instructor? It would be no problem to install. Thanks!!! Quote
Tony G Posted December 16, 2003 Author Posted December 16, 2003 John, A second seat would be good, but not mandatory. I would put one in if its easy so I could jump in the car with you if you want. Thanks, Tony Quote

Kevin Hall Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 Tony, We're building a Z28 here in So Cal, and have several years experience racing stock cars. Can we use a street car for this session if the race car isn't done yet, and would that be enough to get our licenses? Can we use our stock car (1973 Malibu Street Stock) if a race car is required? Any word on rules and tires for 2004, yet? Kevin Hall G&H Racing Quote
Tony G Posted December 23, 2003 Author Posted December 23, 2003 Hi Kevin, Tires will be Toyo which was posted last month. Rules state that you must be in a race prepped car to get your license. Call me to set this up. Thanks, Tony 916 933-5750 Quote
Tony G Posted January 4, 2004 Author Posted January 4, 2004 Guys, I need a total car count as to who is going and needs to be licensed or is just coming out for practice. If you are licensing with me make sure you get your medical into NASA soon. Call Dave Ho at NASA to get this done at 510 232-6272. Tell him you are licensing with me in group 4. Please E mail me at [email protected] to confirm you are going, as I need to round up some CMC instructors to help out. Saturday will be practice on the track and Sunday will be licensing time. If its going to Rain we will set another date,so we will watch the weather as we get closer. I know of at least 7 new CMC entries so far..this is HUGE! Thank You, Tony Guaglione CMC Chief Director 916 933-5750 Quote
bsim Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Speaking of licensing - is there an auto-renewal on our 2003 licenses, or do we need to submit the renewal form by mail? Is there a date we should do that by to get them in time for CA Speedway? Quote
Members Al F. Posted January 5, 2004 Members Posted January 5, 2004 I may be speaking out of turn...but I'm fairly sure the license doesnt auto renew. Your Nasa membership might, there is an option on the web site to do so, but I don't so I can't tell you if it works. Anyway, I mailed in my license renewal and got back a new license within two weeks. I wouldn't wait too long if I were you... Quote
bsim Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Come on Al - "If you were me"? Heh - you'd be faster, that's for sure... Ooooh, the first smack-down of '04. It's on! Quote
